For the premiere of his movie, “Matthias & Maxime, on May 22 in Cannes, Canadian director Xavier Dolan donned a tuxedo and black organza shirt specially designed by Dior men’s Artistic Director Kim Jones. Actors Pier-Luc Funk, Antoine Pilon, Gabriel D’Almeida Freitas, Samuel Gauthier and Adib Alkhalidey, as well as producer Nancy Grant, were also dressed in Dior.

The Savoir-Faire Behind Elle Fanning’s Haute Couture Ensemble

For the 72nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival, Elle Fanning wore an ecru silk organza blouse paired with a midnight-blue tulle skirt whose curves evoked the feminine, iconic, New Look silhouette. A mighty 450 hours of handiwork and 50 meters of pleated tulle went into bringing this unique haute couture ensemble to life, specially produced by the petites mains of the Dior Ateliers.

For the premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” in Cannes on May 21, actress and jury member Elle Fanning wore an haute couture ensemble by Maria Grazia Chiuri pairing a silk organza blouse and pleated tulle skirt. Paying tribute to the iconic New Look silhouette, the outfit was enhanced by an elegant hat in black raffia punctuated with cannage-inspired macramé.
